Romance Scam – Online Love Fraud 💔

Have you met someone online who seems exceptionally kind, showers you with compliments, and quickly starts talking about love or a shared future
Romance scams are among the most common online scams, often targeting older users. Scammers frequently use fake profiles on social media or dating websites. The story is always similar: the person appears sincere, polite, and gives the impression that you matter to them. Once they gain your trust, they ask for money—usually under the guise of an emergency, medical treatment, lost documents, or even buying a plane ticket to visit you.
🔑 How to recognize a romance scam:
✅ The person quickly expresses strong emotions, even though you’ve never met in person.
✅ They ask for money, often with urgent excuses.
✅ They avoid video calls or in-person meetings.
✅ Their messages contain vague stories and contradictions.
🚫 What to do if you suspect a scam?
👉 Never send money to someone you haven’t met in person.
👉 Talk to a trusted family member or friend if you’re unsure.
👉 Report the case to the relevant authorities or organizations that handle online fraud in your country.
🛡️ Remember: There’s nothing wrong with being cautious. It’s better to ask twice than to lose money or trust.
