Have you ever seen an advert promising amazing discounts or products at ridiculously low prices? Fake ads are one of the most common forms of online scams, tricking users into buying non-existent products or stealing their personal data. Would you know a scam if you saw one?
How to spot a fake ad?
- Offers that are too good to be true.
- Ads with suspicious links or poorly designed websites.
- Retailers who encourage you to buy quickly with limited stock or limited-time offers.
Be careful! Always check the online shop and other customers’ reviews before you make a purchase. If in doubt, find a more trusted source instead! Make sure you are always safe when shopping online!
